In a significant diplomatic development, Ambassador Alfredo Miranda of Mexico hosted a high-profile meeting at the Mexican Embassy in Abuja on September 4, 2024, centered on the upcoming Africa Infrastructure, Climate Change, and Green Investment Summit (AICIS).
“This summit marks a turning point in our relationship with Africa, allowing us to build strong, sustainable partnerships for the future,” Ambassador Miranda emphasized.
The meeting, which also included Hon. Moses O.T. Owharo, chairman of the AICIS organizing committee, and Mr. Etobaski Okokon, deputy director of public and bilateral affairs at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), focused on enhancing bilateral ties.
“We are excited to collaborate with Mexico on such a critical event. The global spotlight on climate action has never been brighter, and this summit will bring solutions that impact not just Africa but the world,” Hon. Owharo added.
The summit is poised to attract investors and government officials worldwide, with Mexico pledging support and participation in AICIS-Nigeria 2025.
“Our goal is to foster lasting partnerships that drive green investment and infrastructure development across the African continent,” Mr. Okokon highlighted.
