Africa Infrastructure, Energy, Mining, Trade Exhibition and Investment Summit (AIEMTIS) 2021

At the Russia-Africa leadership summit and economic forum held in Sochi 2019, it was suggesting separately by the H.E Maposa, president of South Africa, HE. Nana Akufour Addoo, president of the Republic of Ghana and HE Adama Barow, President of Gambia, to make the project all-inclusive of the whole Africa continent to form a unified agenda on key economic and security issues in line with the Africa Union (AU) goals and objectives and taking cognisance of the five (5) sub-regional interests. Hence the WAIEMTI third edition is held under the auspices of “Africa infrastructure, Energy, Mining, trade exhibition and investment summit and scheduled to hold in August, 2020, in collaboration with governments, through ministry of foreign Affairs and Ministry of trade and Industry, would focus deepening the Intra – Africa trade in the era of AfCFTA. It would review and assess the impacts, challenges and opportunities. The Summit would also critically examine the prerequisites required for seamless and effective implementation of Intra – Africa trade such as Energy, Security, Infrastructure, Challenges of Communication, Transport and Avaition, human capacity and case of doing business. It would also use the opportunity to deliberate on the challenges of the RoadMap in achieving the implementation of the West African Single Currency, (ECO) in 2020 through participation, paper presentation and round table by selected stakeholders including WAMA members at the Summit. Other areas to be looked into include customs, tariff and movement of goods in the CFTA era. Bridging manpower gaps especially through Technical and vocational education as well as long term strategies for attaining knowledge base system. The theme of the AIEMTI 2020 is “Ensuring equitable implementation of AfCFTA, whiles improving Investment Climate, and access to Energy by all”. Similarly, the Summit will feature two full day workshop sessions on oil and gas, Mining, Power/Electricity, Infrastructure and Trade’, High level Panel- discussions, Trade exhibition, Executive Business Meetings, Dinner, and finally, Business Excellence Awards. NOTICE Africa Infrastructure, Energy, Mining, Trade Exhibition & Investment Summit (AIEMTIS 2020) was planned to be hosted November 25th to 27th in Abuja – Nigeria. WAIEMTI 2018 AND 2019

Under its International Business Summit forum, the company has successfully organized the West Africa Infrastructure, Energy, Mining, trade Exhibition and Investments Summit (WAIEMTI) in 2018 in Ghana with the endorsement, and participation of the Federal Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment, Nigeria, Ministry of Trade Industry and Investment Ghana (MoTI), and the Office of the Permanent Secretary to ECOWAS Commission, Nigeria. Its second edition was tagged “WAIEMTI 2019″ with the theme: ‘Tackling Africa’s Infrastructure and Economic Challenges whiles enhancing Investment and Trade Opportunities”. The second edition built on the success of the maiden edition and was chaired by the Africa Union Commissioner of Trade H.E Mr. Albert Muchanga’s representative, whiles HRH. Alhaji. Dr. Brig. General. Yahaya Abubakar Rtd. CFR, Etsu Nupe, one of the leading traditional rulers in West Africa served as the Guest of Honor and Keynote Speaker. Mr. Simon Aranonu, the Executive Director of Bank of Industry Nigeria had presentation on local content, and The Minister of Trade, Industry and investment – Nigeria represented by the Deputy Director, Investment Department, Mr. Bamidele also delivered a Goodwill Message.
